Material:
- 4 bread slices
- 1 small sweet potato (boiled and mashed)
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (mozzarella, cheddar or of your choice)
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 teaspoons butter or oil
Making process:
- Firstly, take boiled and mashed sweet potato in a bowl.
- Add red chili powder, chaat masala and salt to it and mix well.
- Now, spread the sweet potato mixture evenly on a bread slice.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over the sweet potato mixture.
- Cover it with another bread slice and press it lightly.
- Heat a tawa or pan and apply some butter or oil on it.
- Place the sandwich on the pan and cook it on medium flame till it becomes golden brown and crispy on both the sides. The cheese should melt completely.
- Remove the sandwich from the pan and cut it diagonally.
Suggestion:
- You can also add finely chopped onion, coriander or green chillies to the sweet potato mixture.
- For more flavour, you can also add some black pepper powder or oregano along with the cheese.
