Grilled Cheese Sandwich

 Grilled cheese sandwich is an excellent option for breakfast, kids’ lunch or to satisfy your evening hunger pangs. It can be easily prepared in just 10 minutes, And its crispiness and melted cheese makes it so delicious that everyone likes it. So, let’s make the simplest and tastiest grilled cheese sandwich at home today.

Material:

  • Bread slices (4)
  • Cheese, grated (about 1/2 cup)
  • Butter (1-2 tbsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper powder (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Green chillies, finely chopped (optional, to taste)
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped (optional)
  • Onions, finely chopped (optional)
  • Tomatoes, finely chopped (optional)

Making process:

  1. First of all take grated cheese in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, black pepper powder, and if desired, finely chopped green chilies and coriander leaves and mix well. Along with this, you can also add onion and tomatoes as per your choice.
  3. Now take two slices of bread and apply butter on both.
  4. On one slice of bread, on the non-buttered side, spread the cheese mixture evenly.
  5. Now place the other bread slice on top of it, in such a way that the buttered side is facing upwards.
  6. Heat a grill pan, tawa or sandwich griller.
  7. Place the sandwich on the hot griller or tawa and cook on both sides till it turns golden and crispy.
  8. When the cheese melts and the bread becomes crispy, remove it from the griller.
  9. Cut the sandwich diagonally from the middle and serve hot with your favourite chutney or tomato ketchup.

Some suggestions:

  • You can also add cheese, sweet corn, capsicum, or pizza masala to this sandwich to make it even more delicious.
  • If you don’t have a sandwich griller, you can also make it on a non-stick pan. Just cook it well on both sides on low flame so that it becomes crispy and the cheese melts.
