Bombay Sandwich is a very famous street food of Mumbai. This sandwich is full of taste and is also very easy to make. It is a wonderful combination of fresh vegetables, spicy green chutney and aromatic spices. This is a quick snack that you can have with breakfast or evening tea. So let’s know the easy recipe to make this delicious sandwich.

Ingredients for Sandwiches:
- 8-10 bread slices
- 2 boiled potatoes, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 onion, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 tomato, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 cucumber, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 capsicum, sliced into thin rounds (optional)
- A little butter
- Chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder (optional)
For the green chutney:
- 1 cup coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup mint
- 1-2 green chillies
- 1/2 inch piece of ginger
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- A little water
Making process:
- First, make the green chutney. For this, put coriander leaves, mint, green chillies, ginger, garlic, lemon juice and salt in a mixer and grind well. If needed, add some water to make the chutney of the right thickness.
- Now take a bread slice and apply some butter on it. Then spread a thin layer of green chutney on it.
- Now place potato, onion, tomato, cucumber and capsicum pieces one by one on the chutney coated bread slice.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala and salt over the vegetables. If you want, you can also add some black pepper powder to it.
- Now apply some butter and chutney on the second bread slice as well, then place it over the first slice and press it lightly.
- Heat a pan and apply some butter on it. Place the sandwich on the pan and cook it on both sides till it turns golden brown.
- Cut the sandwich diagonally and serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
Suggestion:
- You can also add any vegetable of your choice like beetroot, paneer, or boiled egg.
- The sandwich can also be made in a toaster or griller.
- If you want to make it more spicy, you can also sprinkle some red chili powder over the sandwich.
- You can also add cheese slices to this sandwich.
